Psychology is my passion and vocation. At 20 years old, I experienced depression for the first time. It prompted a deep search for meaning that evolved into a spiritual awakening and a drive to understand everything I could about the psyche. I spent years learning and training in the art and science of psychotherapy and I feel called to help others heal and find happiness in their life.
Before my professional career as a psychologist, I was lifeguard, a personal trainer, and high school chemistry teacher. I've been involved in research throughout my undergraduate and graduate academic training.
I am healer, guide, teacher, hypnotherapist with professional license to practice as a psychologist and psychedelic facilitator. I have extensive training in trauma-focused treatment and the most severe mental health conditions, including anxiety, panic, OCD, PTSD, MDD, grief, Bipolar Disorder, and Schizophrenia. I also help professionals and people of all walks of life struggling with normal life stressors, adjustment issues, religious conflicts and seekers looking for meaning to the big existential questions in life.

I offer a place to slow down, reflect, and work together on what’s holding you back and what can lead you toward clarity, confidence, and a life that feels fun and fulfilling again. You don’t have to navigate it alone—I’m here to support you as you find your way forward.
Hey! I'm DeVon Moore, LCSW-S, with over a decade mental health experience— everything from crisis work and inpatient care to grief, family systems, and integrated behavioral health. I've worked extensively within the LGBTQIA+ community and with people navigating trauma, identity, and burnout. But here's what actually matters: I know what it's like to unlearn everything you were taught about who you had to be. I built Heart Strings because I wanted a practice that felt honest — no performance, no fluff, just real work with real people.
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. I received my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas Tech University. I've worked in therapy in inpatient and outpatient facilities with children, adolescents, and adults for several years. I specialize in depression, anxiety, lifestyle adjustments, behavioral issues, and trauma, and have a lot of experience working with autism spectrum and ADHD.
Hello there, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Texas. I received my Masters from Southern University at New Orleans and have been practicing for 16 years. I help my clients struggling with life stressors and issues to become the best version of themselves. Are you ready to become the best you that you can be?
I believe that therapy is a collaborative journey. In our sessions, I provide a nonjudgmental, compassionate, and confidential space where clients can express their concerns openly. Together, we will establish their goals early in the process and regularly review them to track their progress. My role is to assist them - like a supportive passenger - while they navigate their path to healing.
I specialize in working with people with Anxiety, Phobias, PTSD, Adjustment Disorders and Codependency. I also work with people on setting and maintaining boundaries, goal-setting, assertiveness training, communication skills, changing thoughts and behaviors and coping skills. I provide support when you are in crisis, need help with parenting skills and work with you to reduce symptoms that affect your everyday life. If you want to incorporate bible scripture or prayer, I am happy to provide this support! If requested, sessions can include walking, movement, meeting inside or outside the office.
